Just so I'd know. 
Me? I've been RP'ing for the past... 3-5 years or so, in Neopets.com. Back then, their style of RP'ing was strictly professional and they were especially hard on the newbies. But that was like 2 years ago. Now, its been degrading and it could take hours just to find a RP without stupid illits.
So I'm currently RP'ing in Itinerus Eternum (a roleplay forum based on an apocalyptic story). Don't ask me what the name means, cause' I dunno.

About a year but not exactly. I learned how to RP at TG just to find out what they taught me is wrong. So I'm learning all about RPs here.  But Jin is an expert so I'll just stick with her. |

I kind of LIKE how Neopets handled newbie RP'ers
(although the website has really changed since that time).
If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be your RP mod right now,
and that some of you might really suck at RP'ing.

etc, etc, etc.
The opposite of this is the paragraphed intro, which is a lil' more complicated. Instead of just bluntly pointing out your character's personality, history and interests, it shows bit by bit as the RP progresses.
